"I approach my art in a manner that embraces my natural tendencies, allowing the painting to take its course as I combine traditional art techniques with my own creative intuition. My favored style is a blend of realism and impressionism, but ultimately I just go where my artistic inspiration takes me. What often moves me to paint a place, thing or being is when it triggers a visceral reaction in me (even when I’m no longer looking at it) or lingers in my heart and mind, and I find it difficult to ignore. Through my art, I endeavor to express my deep appreciation of the beauty that abounds both in nature and in everyday life, capturing the essence of moments that uplift my spirit and hopefully that of others." -Xenia
